The V ring.
This came about after a conversation with Terry Pratchett about Jewellery worn by major Discworld characters.
I had already made a version of the Grim Reaper ring but wanted something else.
Plans were drawn up to make seal rings for the various guilds.
But then came the novel Making Money.
In this book Lord Vetinari had a ring made from Styguim. An alloy made by the Dwarves that gets very hot in sunlight.
My version is made from Sterling silver, plated with 18ct Gold, plated with Black Rhodium (which was £1000 a gram) when I started out.
These were made as limited issue for some fans, and were supplied for the filming of Going Postal for Charles Dance who played the Patrician.
He I assume kept these as I never found out what happened to them.
Signet rings were very popular and most had either engraved initials or even family crest engraved into them, later the centers were rempoved and a seal was fitted so letters could be 'sealed' as it were with wax.
Please note I am no longer connected to the Discworld or any of its various arms and product suppliers.
These images are in my Gallery of works only and cannot be purchased (the prices are shown just to allow the website to position them as needed)
***any work available to purchase will be in the relevent section***
