This one of a kind pendant or if you want as a keycharm, has been hand made from the finest Silver filled wire.
The stones are carefully selected by me and are the perfect size for this item.
Shipped with a large open jump-ring ready for you you slide onto that chain you have or to fit to a key ring.
There is only one of these and I wont be making others.
Construction information.
Siver filled wire is not a new thing, in fact Im sure some of you remember that 'rolled gold' bangle or bracelet that your Gran used to own. Well filled wires are the modern version of this.
I use 20% filled wire, which is 100% fine silver over a neutral metal core.
The stones are all from conflict free areas and where possible they are recycled from gemstone off-cuts.
CARNELIAN.
This lucky orange gemstone has been associated with kings and other royalty since the dawn of civilization and was commonly used as seals and amulets in ancient kingdoms.
Iron impurities give this quartz its orange coloring and it ranges all the way from light golden yellows to almost red hues.
Egyptian Mummies were adorned with carnelian, representing the strength of Horus, the Sun God and are mentioned several times in the bible as gemstones of Aaron’s breastplate and the Twelve Tribes of Israel. It is also the traditional gemstone of the zodiac sign, Virgo, and in some parts of the world it is a birthstone for the month of July.
No chain is supplied as neck sizes vary so much, you will be best placed to find the length that suits you best.
The hardness of all stones are graded on what is called the Mohs scale, where 1 is soft and 10 is hard (Diamonds are graded as 10)
Carnelian is around 6.7 - 7 so is a good Jewellery stone.
Packed in re-cycled card and paper (where possible).
